Emerson Stage presents the show Rage, which follows two internet trolls as they fall in love online. The play explores topics of social justice, the internet, and the harmful effects of cancel culture, and was performed in the Greene Theater February 28 - March 1.

Adrianna (Anna) Bohman '22 was recently honored with American Marketing Association's Boston Student of the Quarter Award. This past summer and fall, Anna was instrumental in reviving the College's chapter through her recruitment efforts, marketing skills, and personal connections.

Senior Men's Basketball Player Jarred Houston earned his third Defensive Player of the Week Award from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this season on Monday, December 6.

Emerson Contemporary, the College's platform for presenting contemporary visual art, presented a new exhibition "I: An Intimate Reflection," on view in the Media Art Gallery at 25 Avery Street, from November 17 through December 12, 2021. The presentation included a broad range of media by Boston-based emerging artists such as photography, steel sculpture, acrylic painting, digital video, and hand-sewn mixed media installations. The exhibition was curated by fourteen undergraduate students in conjunction with a Visual Media Arts course, "Curating Contemporary Art," taught by Dr. Leonie Bradbury, Distinguished Curator-in-Residence. Students are responsible for all aspects of the exhibition, including: exhibition design, building a website, loan agreements, the object checklist, educational materials, social media assets, and press materials.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Marie Antoinette, which ran from November 18-21 in the Greene Theater in Boston, MA.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Baltimore in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. The show ran from October 28-31 in the Semel Theater.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. The show is written by Finegan Kruckemeyer and directed by Pascale Florestal. Three young sisters are left in a forest by their woodcutter father and forced to find their own way in the world. From this fairytale beginning, three resolutions are made-one sister walks one way to find purpose, one the other to find adventure, and the third stays right where she is to create a home. The production took place October 7-9 and 16 at the Robert J. Orchard Stage in the Paramount Center in Boston, MA.

Emerson student-athletes are named to the 2021 NEWMAC (New England Women's & Men's Conference) Fall Academic All-Conference teams in women's soccer, men's soccer, women's volleyball, and cross country. To qualify, honorees must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the Spring 2021 semester, be a second-year student, and have been a member of the College's varsity team for the entire season.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of The Late Wedding in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. In a series of disjointed vignettes of marriage and work-worn love, The Late Wedding travels through space and time (quite literally) to depict the core of what makes a successful partnership and what subtly chips away at its foundation. The show ran from September 23-26 in the Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theater.

Trevor McLean '22 was on the winning team of this year's GlobCom, an annual international public relations competition held June 2-5 that asks students to work together with peers around the world to solve a PR problem. This year's client was The Daily Mile, an initiative that aims to promote physical, mental, social, and emotional wellbeing in children through jogging. McLean's team's "Run to the Rainbow" campaign was selected by a panel of judges as the most effective and creative.

The Office of Academic Affairs and the Dean's Council launched an inaugural Dean's Fellowship Program that embraces racial equity as a key standard for assessing the quality of the College's programs, practices and activities. The program aims to support the personal and professional development of students who are committed to advancing equity on campus. Each of the College's schools are collaborating to offer a holistic experience that underscores how the intersectional identities of the Fellows will inform their work throughout the Fellowship. Created this year in order to advance equity initiatives across the College, fellows will work closely with the dean's leadership team, faculty, BIPOC student groups, and others on campus to facilitate communication and actions that promote racial justice, equity, healing, and inclusion in each School's academic environment.

Emerson College student Robert Schinder is a recipient of a grant from The Virgin Unite Social Impact Fund.

Emerson BFA student Alyssa Raine Lara was honored with the VMA Department's Chair Award for the Spring 2021 semester.

The Visual Culture Consortium hosted the Thirteenth Annual Undergrad Art History Symposium this past April, featuring a paper written and presented by student Sarah Callan.

The Marlboro Institute honored various students with achievement awards at the end of the Spring 2021 semester.

Several students within the Performing Arts department were honored with Area Awards at the Performing Arts Department annual awards held in the spring, recognizing excellence in their respective fields.

During the Performing Arts department annual awards ceremony this spring, students were honored with the Lotta Theatrical Fund Award.

More than 50 Winter & Spring student-athletes were named to their respective New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) teams for the 2020-2021 academic year. Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire semester.
