Emerson College students participate in the Emerson Stage production of Mary, Sweet Mary on March 2-5, 2023 at the Greene Theater at Emerson College, Boston, MA. Mary, Sweet Mary tells the story of Queen Elizabeth I and her anxieties surrounding her legacy, duties, and how it manifests towards the people around her. Emerson Stage and the Department of Performing Arts are where the next generation of actors, designers, stage managers, technicians, administrators, and educators work alongside distinguished faculty, professional staff, and visiting artists to bring skills learned in the classroom to vibrant life on stage.

Emerson College Student Gains Meaningful Experience Through C-SPAN Internship
Emerson College student Carol Rangel Gomes participated in an internship with C-SPAN in the fall semster of 2022. The internship took place in collaboration with the Emerson College Washington D.C program. The program allows students of any major to gain experience working in government; nonprofit, environmental, media, and communication organizations; arts, humanities and educational institutions; social advocacy groups, businesses, economics and trade firms; and law and criminal justice agencies.

Emerson College Students Receive Honorable Mentions in AVCA Division III All-American
Emerson College students recently received Honorable Mentions for the AVCA Division III All-America teams. The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 41st annual NCAA Division III All-America Teams for women's volleyball. Honorable mentions were given to the two Emerson College Women's Volleyball players. Both players were also selected to their second NEWMAC All-Conference Teams.

Emerson College Students Curate New Exhibition "Perspectives: Micro to Macro"
With the help of Emerson Contemporary, Emerson College's platform for presenting contemporary visual art, Emerson students presents a new exhibition "Perspectives: Micro to Macro." The exhibit was located at 25 Avery Street, Emerson's Media Art Gallery, from November 30 through December 16, 2022. The exhibition was curated by 15 Emerson undergraduate students as part of a Visual Media Arts course, "Curating Contemporary Art," taught by Dr. Leonie Bradbury. Emerson Contemporary is the College's platform for showcasing contemporary visual art. It is focused on presenting living artists, their ideas, experiments, and creative practices in the areas of media art, performance art, and emergent technologies, while critically examining these works in their social context.

Old Jake's Skirts tells of the story of a farmer living a dull life. Jake's life is turned around when he discovers a trunk of skirts - the discovery brings color to Jake's life.

Emerson College Women's Volleyball Team Finish Strong 2022 Fall Season
The Emerson College Women's Volleyball team lost to Smith College in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 1st, at the Brown and Plofker Gym, ending their strong 2022 Fall season. The Lions finished the 2022 season with an overall record of 18-5 and a NEWMAC record of 7-3. The team reached a regional ranking of #3 during the last week of the regular season.

Emerson College Women's Soccer Team Complete Their Fall 2022 Season Making History Along the Way
The Emerson College Women's soccer team completed their Fall 2022 season making history. The Lions finished the season with an overall record of 12-4-5 and a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) record of 7-1-3. For the first time ever the Lions won the 2022 NEWMAC Championship. Advancing to the NCAA III tournament, the Lions lost to Westfield State in the opening round.

The Men's team advanced to their first-ever NEWMAC championship game in history. The Emerson College Men's soccer team completed the 2022 campaign as their most successful season. The team finsihed with an overall record of 10-3-6 and a NEWMAC record of 4-2-1. The Lions lost to Babson College in the NEWMAC Championship game.

Emerson College's Men's Tennis Earns 2021-22 ITA Division III Men's All-Academic Team Award
The Emerson Men's Tennis team has six members included on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) 2022 Division III Men's Tennis Scholar-Athletes Team. The Men's Tennis team is also on the Division III Men's All-Academic Teams list. For ITA eligibility an athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the team grade point average must be 3.2 or above (on a 4.0 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

Emerson College's Women's Volleyball Team Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award
The Emerson Women's Volleyball team received the 2021-22 Division III United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. The Women's team was also honored in the Team Academic Award Honor Roll, which recognizes the top 20% of team GPAs in each division. The USMC/AVCA award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
