The Emerson Forensics Team traveld to the Off-Broadway Swing tournament at Hofstra University in December, earning first place and cementing their status as a team on the rise.

The event was held on December 3rd-4th and drew about 120 competitors from 15 colleges in nine states, according to Trent Webb, director of forensics at Hofstra University.

These awards were established to recognize excellence in writing by Senior WLP majors. They are given based on a competition that is open to all 2021-2022 graduating WLP Seniors.

Emerson College junior, Meredith Roman, was given the Karl Baehr Scholarship Award for her pitch for a reservation-based cafe for students, at the 2019 Emerson Entreprenurial Experience Expo. The exposition is held at the end of every year to culminate the work of Entrepreneurial Studies minors.

Emerson College senior, Cameron Radenberg, won the Clemens Social Enterprise Award for pitching the business venture CRATE Studio at the 2019 Emerson Entreprenurial Experience Expo pitch competition.

Emerson College junior, Julia Perry, came in second place for pitching a non-profit organization that provides educational programming about non-traditional health topics at the 2019 E3 Expo. The exposition is held at the end of every year to culminate the work of Entrepreneurial Studies minors.

William Rowley beat 50 other participants in a Duo Interpretation Category at the regional International Public Debate Association tournament held at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, NH during the first weekend in November.

Emerson College student Parker Hughes of Annendale, New Jersey was recently recognized for his entrepreneurial spirit with his new company BRUZD, which was featured in BostInno online magazine's "25 Rising Entrepreneurs and Technologists Under the Age of 25."

The following Emerson College students have competed in and won the prestigious Boston InnovateEDU Ignite Competition held April 10. The students were part of Emerson's team that showcased and pitched business ideas they had brought to life over the course of a single semester. Emerson competed against five other teams from local universities and colleges including Boston College, Boston University, MIT, Northeastern University, and Suffolk University.
