Emerson College students participated in the Emerson Stage production of Good Breeding during its run at the Semel Theatre from February 20-23, 2020.

Ashley Toner, a junior guard on the Emerson Women's Basketball Team, was named Lion of the Week for her contributions to her team.

Lucas Raagas, a senior setter/defensive specialist on the Emerson Men's Volleyball team, was named Lion of the Week for his achievements in the sport and contributions to his team.

A group of Emerson Political Communication students are given the opportunity to travel to Iowa, and witness first-hand the unfolding of the Iowa Caucus debacle, including listening to politician's pitches and comparing the strenghts and weaknesses of the caucus system.

Two groups of Emerson students from varying majors and minors in the Department of Communication Studies traveled to Miami, Florida to experience Super Bowl LIV first-hand. These students had the oopportunity to work both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, surrounded by celebrities, conducting interviews, monitoring social media activity.

Thirty-two members of Emerson College's senior class were selected for its Purple Key Leadership Society, and will be recognized during the annual ERA Awards ceremony on Friday, April 3, 2020 as well as during the commencement program. The recipients of this prestigious honor demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, a strong commitment to civic engagement, and solid academic achievement.

Sophomore Nate Martin, as part of the Emerson College Men's Basketball Team, won NEWMAC offensive player of the week for the week of November 25th.

Emerson Senior Jack O'Connor, Guard for the Men's Basketball team, reached his 1,000 point career milestone at the Lions' December 5th game agains Emmanuel.

Emerson students participated in the Emerson Stage production of 10 out of 12 during its run at the Semel Theater from November 21-24, 2019.

Grace Tepper earned First Team All-Conference, along with being recognized as part of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference All-Academic athletes.

Freshman Cali Bruce earned First-Team All-Conference honors as a defender for the Emerson Women's Soccer team's 2019 season.

Emerson Senior Veronica Alberts earned Second-team honors for her play as a forward for the Lions and recognized as a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference All-Academic athlete.

Sophomore Megan Rose was the lone goalkeeper on the First Team All-Conference. This is Rose's second All-Conference honor after earning Second-Team in 2018.

Sophomore Grace Cosgrove earned second-team All-Conference honors as a midfielder and was recognized as a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Academic athlete for the fall of 2019 for the Emerson Women's Soccer team.

Caroline Bond earned both Rookie Of The Year and Second Team All-Conference honors for her great play in 2019.

Junior Amanda Benavente was truly indispensable for the Lions' Women's Soccer team defense this year. Along with becoming a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference All-Academic (NEWMAC) athlete, Benavente earned her second straight All-Conference honor after a First-Team appearance in 2018.

On November 3, the Emerson Skunks earned the team's greatest achievement yet by winning Division B's Northeast College Mixed Regional Championship in Granby, Connecticut.

The Emerson Women's Volleyball team made their first ever historic appearance on their recent trip to the NEWMAC Championship game on Saturday, November 9, in Babson Park.

Oliver Glass, a freshman member of the men's cross country team, ran the men's eight-kilometer race in 27:57 and finished in 38th place. This was the fastest time for the Lions since 2013.

Emerson College students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Stupid F##king Bird, that ran from September 26-29, 2019 at the Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theater in Boston, MA. Stupid F##king Bird is a play by Aaron Posner centering on an aspiring young director who rampages against the art created by his mother's generation, a nubile young actress wrestling with an aging Hollywood star for the affections of a renowned novelist, and everyone discovering just how disappointing love, art, and growing up can be.

Emerson students participated in the Emerson Stage production of Flora, the Red Menace during its run at the Greene Theatre from October 31-November 3, 2019.

Emerson College students participated in the Emerson Stage production of Carlos Murillo's Augusta and Noble for their 2019-2020 season. Performances ran through October 17-20, 2019.

Emerson College sohphomore Carolyn Vaimoso is back for the 2019 volleyball season after a serious knee injury last year. She now ranks third on the team in kills per set, second in digs per set, and recently claimed the titles of both Lion of the Week and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week of October 7th.

The Emerson Women's Volleyball Team defeated the Brandeis Judges (3-1) on Senior Day, where along with their victory, the team honored senior Jessica Braunstein. Braunstein finished her last home game of the season with 4 kills and 4 blocks.

Four Emerson students participated in, and took home a $1,200 first place cash prize from the 2019 VOX Pop Slam Poetry Tournament at Stark Brewing Company in New Hampshire this October. The competition is regarded on a national level, and is judged through both scale ratings and audience reaction. The team included Dessaline Etienne, Jane Cardona, Kayla LaRosa, and Lauren Licona, who all used personal stories, vulnerability, and creative expression to bring them to victory.
