On Tuesday, April 5, and Wednesday, April 6, Emerson College celebrated nonfiction work by students at It's All True, the College's ninth annual documentary festival. The festival showcased work of students, as well as director and journalist Sonia Kennebeck's documentary Enemies of The State.

The Emerson Stage production of Into The Woods follows the story of fairytales, misfortunes, and the consequences of decisions. The musical was performed in the Emerson Cutler Majestic theater on April 14th and 16th, 2022.

Take Care of Yourself and Sounds of the City, directed by Wyatt Cunningham, are featured in the Emerson Film Festival.

Emerson Presents Three Romances for the Unwell and Otherwise.

Emerson Stage presents the show Rage, which follows two internet trolls as they fall in love online. The play explores topics of social justice, the internet, and the harmful effects of cancel culture, and was performed in the Greene Theater February 28 - March 1.

Emerson Stage Presents As You Like It, a comedic play that showcases adventure and love. A new spin on Shakespeare's play, this radically queer version features acceptance and joy at the center of this adaptation by Eddie DeHais.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Next to Normal, performed January 27-31, 2022 in the Greene Theater at Emerson College in Boston, MA.

Emerson Contemporary, the College's platform for presenting contemporary visual art, presented a new exhibition "I: An Intimate Reflection," on view in the Media Art Gallery at 25 Avery Street, from November 17 through December 12, 2021. The presentation included a broad range of media by Boston-based emerging artists such as photography, steel sculpture, acrylic painting, digital video, and hand-sewn mixed media installations. The exhibition was curated by fourteen undergraduate students in conjunction with a Visual Media Arts course, "Curating Contemporary Art," taught by Dr. Leonie Bradbury, Distinguished Curator-in-Residence. Students are responsible for all aspects of the exhibition, including: exhibition design, building a website, loan agreements, the object checklist, educational materials, social media assets, and press materials.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Marie Antoinette, which ran from November 18-21 in the Greene Theater in Boston, MA.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Baltimore in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. The show ran from October 28-31 in the Semel Theater.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. The show is written by Finegan Kruckemeyer and directed by Pascale Florestal. Three young sisters are left in a forest by their woodcutter father and forced to find their own way in the world. From this fairytale beginning, three resolutions are made-one sister walks one way to find purpose, one the other to find adventure, and the third stays right where she is to create a home. The production took place October 7-9 and 16 at the Robert J. Orchard Stage in the Paramount Center in Boston, MA.

Students participated in Emerson Stage's production of The Late Wedding in conjunction with their 2021-2022 season. In a series of disjointed vignettes of marriage and work-worn love, The Late Wedding travels through space and time (quite literally) to depict the core of what makes a successful partnership and what subtly chips away at its foundation. The show ran from September 23-26 in the Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theater.

As part of their 2020-2021 transmedia season, Emerson Stage students participated in a production of Steve Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening.

Students of Emerson College participated in Emerson Stage's production of Going to California as part of their 2020-2021 LIVE online performances. The production ran from April 1 through April 4 and was led by playwright Sabrina Sexauer, the student winner of the 2020 Rod Parker Playwriting Award.

Emerson Stage and its students recently put on a production of Masha Obolensky's Interior of the Artist Without Her Sister as part of their 2020-2021 lineup. The production, directed by Melia Bensussen, ran from March 25 through 28 and was presented in a LIVE virtual format.

Members of Emerson Stage participated in a virtual and interactive performance of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' Everybody. The production, directed by Annie G. Levy, presented cameo opportunities for audience members in which they turned their cameras on and become a part of the production itself.

Emerson College students participated in Emerson Stage's production of Marisol this spring semester. The production ran from February 18- 21 and was available to view in a virtual format.

Despite moving into an online format, Emerson students shined in their virtual production of "Men On Boats." The production ran from September 24-27 and was directed by Maureen Shea and Sarah Hickler.

Emerson students participated in the virtual production of Bertorlt Brecht's "The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui," which ran from October 15-18.

Based on the books by Don Freeman and adapted for the stage by Barry Kornhauser, Emerson Stage and its students put on a virtual production of 'Corduroy' that ran from October 29 through November 1.

In cooperation with Live & In Color, Emerson Stage performed a virtual production of the new musical 'This Golden Day.' Conceived and created by Annie G. Levy & Devanand Janki, directed by Devanand Janki, with music direction by Jonathan Goldberg, the musical ran from November 19-22.

Emerson College's platform for presenting contemporary visual art, "Emerson Contemporary," proudly presents its first-ever virtual exhibition "What's Next? Art for Tomorrow."
