Student-athletes Named to 2021 NEWMAC (New England Women's & Men's Conference) Fall Academic All-Conference Teams

Emerson student-athletes are named to the 2021 NEWMAC (New England Women's & Men's Conference) Fall Academic All-Conference teams in women's soccer, men's soccer, women's volleyball, and cross country. To qualify, honorees must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or 4.35 on a 5.0 scale after the Spring 2021 semester, be a second-year student, and have been a member of the College's varsity team for the entire season.

Winter & Spring Student-Athletes Named To NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Teams

More than 50 Winter & Spring student-athletes were named to their respective New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) teams for the 2020-2021 academic year. Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2021 spring semester, achieved second year academic status at their institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire semester.

Oliver Glass, a freshman member of the men's cross country team, ran the men's eight-kilometer race in 27:57 and finished in 38th place. This was the fastest time for the Lions since 2013.

Emerson College sohphomore Carolyn Vaimoso is back for the 2019 volleyball season after a serious knee injury last year. She now ranks third on the team in kills per set, second in digs per set, and recently claimed the titles of both Lion of the Week and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week of October 7th.
