Based in Boston, Massachusetts, opposite the historic Boston Common and in the heart of the city’s Theatre District, Emerson College educates individuals who will solve problems and change the world through engaged leadership in communication and the arts, a mission informed by liberal learning. The College has approximately 4,161 undergraduates and 554 graduate students from across the United States and nearly 70 countries. Supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a renowned faculty, students participate in more than 90 student organizations and performance groups. Emerson is known for its experiential learning programs at Emerson Los Angeles, located in Hollywood, and at its 14th-century castle, in the Netherlands. Additionally, there are opportunities to study in Washington, DC, London, China, and the Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, Greece, France, Ireland, Mexico, Cuba, England, and South Africa. Emersonians Report from Super Bowl LIV

Two groups of Emerson students from varying majors and minors in the Department of Communication Studies traveled to Miami, Florida to experience Super Bowl LIV first-hand. These students had the oopportunity to work both behind the scenes and in front of the camera, surrounded by celebrities, conducting interviews, monitoring social media activity.

Local Residents Cast In World Premiere CafA? Variations At The Cutler Majestic Theatre

More than 50 Emerson College students, under the direction of Anne Bogart, will present the world premiere of CafA(C) Variations, a distinctive production celebrating cafA(C) culture using vignettes from Charles Mee's CafA(C) Plays combine with music exclusively from the Gershwin songbook. The large ensemble cast features SITI Company members (in residence at Emerson College) performing alongside young artists from the Department of Performing Arts at Emerson College, incorporating dialogue, music, and dance to render romantic scenes ubiquitous to the lively world of the cafA(C). Each song and scene is a discreet short play but fits together as a whole piece, with a complete narrative.

Local residents chosen by Emerson College and Writers Guild of America, East Foundation for Pilot Mentorship Program in Screenwriting, Television Writing, and Playwriting

Emerson faculty chose eligible upper-class students and recent graduates based on their individually submitted scripts and synopses. Then, WGAE identified five professional writers based on their writing specialties to mentor the students.
