Rachel Liptz in Emerson Stage Production of Robin Hood at Emerson College

2011 Nov 8

Baltimore, MD's Rachel Liptz, a Senior BA Theatre Ed student at Emerson College, has earned the role of Assistant Director in Emerson Stage's production of Robin Hood. Liptz will join 35 fellow Emerson students in this annual Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) production written by Greg Banks and directed by Courtney O'Connor and Ted Hewlett. Performances take place November 12–19 at the Mainstage of Emerson's Paramount Center (559 Washington St., Boston).

Featuring the familiar characters of Robin Hood, Marian, Little John, and the Sheriff of Nottingham in grand fight sequences and exciting duels, this modern, interactive retelling of the classic tale follows Robin Hood and his friends as they defend the rights and dignity of all people, without regard to their status or heritage. Full of humor, Robin Hood promises to delight students and families.

Single tickets start at $15. Ticket bundles for four Emerson Stage performances are also available now and can be purchased at the Paramount Center Box Office, 559 Washington St., Boston or the Cutler Majestic Box Office, 219 Tremont St., Boston, Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.aestages.org or by calling 617-824-8000.
