Memphis's Brannon Smithwick Participating in Emerson College Los Angeles Internship and Residential Program

2014 Oct 31

Emerson College student Brannon Smithwick of Memphis, who's majoring in Film Production, secured an internship position in September 2014 at Art Directors Guild. Smithwick will complete the internship study program in December 2014.

The internship is part of the experience at the College's new facility located on Sunset Boulevard. Emerson was the first East Coast college to establish a residential study and internship program in LA. Since the program's inception in 1986, more than 4,300 students have participated in internships at renowned film studios, media outlets, marketing agencies, and related enterprises in LA, which is also home to more than 3,200 successful Emerson alumni.

Designed by internationally renowned architect Thom Mayne of Morphosis Architects, the College's permanent Hollywood facility, which was completed in January 2014, provides students with an opportunity to be immersed in LA's communication and entertainment industries before they graduate.
