Jessica Price Participated in Emerson Stage's Production of X Dance and NewFest New Works at Emerson College

2015 Apr 14

Jessica Price, of Millis, Massachusetts, who's majoring in Theatre Studies: Acting at Emerson College, participated in Emerson Stage's production of X Dance and NewFest New Works Festival as X Dance: Dancer. This was a month-long celebration of the creativity of Emerson students. The Rod Parker Playwriting Award and NewFest were both funded by the generous support of Rod Parker '51. Parker wrote his first play while an undergraduate at Emerson College, and in 1991 made the Playwrights' Festival possible by creating an endowment to fund fellowships for student playwrights and support the first productions of their work.

Joe Antoun and Marlena Yannetti directed the production. NewFest ran March 19-22 in the Semel Theater (10 Boylston Place, Boston). NewFest New Readings ran March 24-29 in the Semel Theater (10 Boylston Place, Boston). X Dance ran April 2-5 in the Greene Theater (10 Boylston Place, Boston).
